AntiGravity Yoga was invented by aerial performer Christopher Harrison, a former gymnast and Broadway choreographer. It involves performing a series of exercises inspired by yoga, Pilates, calisthenics and aerial acrobatics in a hammock-like apparatus, in order to achieve a total-body workout. Apart from being a major stress-buster due to its high fun quotient, there are some serious health benefits associated with AntiGravity Yoga. In addition to decompressing the spine, AntiGravity Yoga can help to increase strength and flexibility. Along with AntiGravity Yoga, we offer a variety of other classes.
Just Breathe Aerials was founded by Lori Aragona in 2016 and later joined by co-owner, Jennifer Wiggins. Together, they hope to open multiple studios and bring a whole new world of fitness both mentally and physically for our community.

This class should be taken after completing 3 AntiGravity Fundamentals so that you’re comfortable and trust the hammock. Poses in this class will help to strengthen that trust in order to master the many flips and tricks Aerial Yoga introduces. Deep Breathing through movements will acquire benefits of inversions and stretches. Inversions are held longer and stretches are deeper. Holding poses to acquire balance and strength can be intense. No impact to joints or bones provided by support of the hammock at all times.
AntiGravity (Beginner) Antigravity is the fun new way of rejuvenating our mind, body and soul. This class is best for a true newbie. This class is where you slowly start trusting the hammock. You will begin to understand that working through some challenging poses may actually rejuvenate your body. The hammock supports your lower body safely for your first Harrison hammock inversion. Holding the hips in the hammock during this inversion allows the spine to naturally lengthen without the pressure or weight of your legs to compress. This lengthening creates an endorphin rush to make you happier, healthier and possibly taller. No impact to joints or bones provided by support of the hammock at all times. AntiGravity (Advanced) This class is for the person looking for a new fun way to workout! Reawakening muscles you didn’t even know you had! You will experience a Harrison hammock inversion and push yourself to get as many benefits from the hammock as possible. Workout upside down, strengthen your core in an inversion, and work your arms out with the hammocks assistance. You may even learn a few tricks!! The possibilities are endless! No impact to joints or bones provided by support of the hammock at all times.
Flips & Tricks
This class is for advanced members who have learned the names of flips, poses, and sequences. Members must be well versed in the hammock. This class is mostly performance based, sometimes to a routine or set to music. A fun and great workout!
You will feel the burn from this class! This is for members who want a total body workout. This class will tone and sculpt via movements and repetition using the hammock. Climbing, balancing and inverted strength building all while keeping that heart rate up. Trust of the hammock and proper placement is important to perform at the upbeat pace of the class to gain benefits and prevent injury. There is no impact to joints or bones provided by support of the hammock at all times.
After completing at least 3 Aerial and 3 Suspension classes come try this high paced mix of the two! Obnoxious music with foul language allows you to scream profanities out that you’ve kept in all day! This class is designed to release MAJOR tension and let you steam off. It has multiple inversions, climbing exercises, and tones, sculpts and raises your heart rate! We promise you’ll feel better afterwards!
Welcome to your session of self-rejuvenation. In this class there are no inversions the hammock are low to the ground. We use deep breathing through slow moving stretches, manipulating the hammock for benefits of a deep massage to break up fascia, opening up the hips and spine, releasing stress and tension in all joints and muscles. We begin and end the class with mindful mediation.
Fly in the hammock into a peaceful, serene place where nothing from the outside world can sneak into your mind. Through some gentle stretches and mental relaxation, drift away into an amazing mindless escape while we lay in the hammock and cocoon.
This is a super intense mix of Suspension Fitness and Aerial Yoga total body workout. It is meant to work different parts of the body from stretching and flexibility, building muscle, toning, and burning calories. It will get your body and metabolism energized!

What is Salsa? HOT! HOT! HOT! Bring the 'sauce' into your partner dancing and learn the basic foot patterns and turns of this sensual, steamy and easy-to-learn dance. Latin and Afro-Cuban roots, slinky body movement, and variety of patterns create this sultry, sexy movement.
Stretch & Technique
This class is focused on stretching specific body parts using different techniques and props. Great class for all levels, including athletes looking to improve flexibility, joint range of motion, posture and all-round fitness. This class will help facilitate your technique, body mechanics on and off your mat to decrease risk for injury and pain.
This class is focused on linking your breath, movement, and posture/poses together to improve physical, mental, and emotional health. This class is great for all levels and modifications are provided to ensure you move at your own pace. Benefits include: improved breath control/flexibility/strength/posture/balance/decrease anxiety and stress/elevate your immune system/and improves metabolism.
This class is perfect for beginner/pre-natal students. This class is focused on learning the basics in a slow and gentle pace, leading to a more relaxing experience and less strenuous on the body. Take time to become more aware of your body and breath connection in an atmosphere free of competition and comparison. Benefits include: increasing range of motion and flexibility, easing digestion, improving sleep pattern and decreasing anxiety and stress.
Yoga Shred Inspired
This class gives you a full body workout - working on arms, shoulders, core and legs - combining Yoga, Pilates, and even some cardio!
A fun, energizing and upbeat Yoga class that will have you moving and sweating!
Strike A Pose
This class is inspired by Bikram Yoga’s twenty-six posture exercises and is a twenty-six asana series designed to scientifically warm and stretch muscles, ligaments and tendons, in the order in which they should be stretched. You’ll flow through all 26 poses that are held for extended time. Great for balance!
Come and get an amazing stretch and core workout with our Mat Pilates class. A great way to start or end your day! All levels welcome!
The studio is availiable on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays after 12pm for private parties. This is great for team building, girls night out, office/company activity, etc. We offer wine and snacks as well. Call for details!
AG Fundamentals 1 & 2 Training Fundamentals 1 & 2 are the foundation for all AntiGravity® Aerial Fitness courses. Although offered separately, they must be taken combined. After the 4-day course, you will be able to teach 3 specific classes to your students right away. This course will open the doors for you to continue your education in either AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga, or AntiGravity® Suspension Fitness as well as any of our Specialty (Secondary) courses. NASM & AFAA approved! AntiGravity® Fitness is recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America as a Continuing Education Provider. AG Fundamentals 1&2 provides the following CEUs: NASM: 1.9; AFAA: 15 Time: 4 days. Every training day is an 8 hour day. Duration: 4 Minimum Requirements: We do not require any specific certification. You should have a good understanding of the body and be comfortable teaching in front of a class. Flexibility, coordination, core strength are a plus.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
Wear workout clothing that covers the armpits (sleeve) and legs. Cotton or cotton blend fabric works best because it's non-slippery. Make sure tops are not too loose. Keep in mind you'll be upside down a lot. Yoga pants or sweats are best but make sure they are somewhat tight around the leg. No socks, unless they are sticky. You can use sticky gloves if you have a weak grip. NO JEWELRY as it may tear the silk.
Which class should I start with?
Everyone starts as a beginner and we require that you take 3 Antigravity FUNdamentals classes before moving on to more advanced aerial classes. You will also find several other classes where all levels are welcome, such as Restorative Antigravity yoga, Vinyasa Flow yoga, and Pilates.
What if I'm afraid?
We work very closely with you to monitor your movements and help you. You will never be forced to perform a move. We demonstrate every move before the class members perform them. During an inversion you're only about 3 inches off the ground. Over 6000+ people practice this form of Yoga daily and safely! Most people are afraid in the beginning and then after a class they can't believe they were so afraid! Don't let fear stop you!
What are the contraindications (aka precautions) for AntiGravity® Fitness techniques?
If any of the below applies to you, please speak to your doctor before attending a class and always Monitor Your Resistance while in the Hammock. -Pregnancy -Glaucoma -Recent Surgery (esp. shoulder, eyes, back, hips, hands or wrist) -Heart disease or very high or low blood pressure -Easy onset vertigo -Osteoporosis / bone weakness -Recent head injury -Cerebral sclerosis -Propensity for fainting -Carpal tunnel syndrome -Severe arthritis -Sinusitis or head cold -Hiatal hernia -Disc herniation or acute discogenic disease -Recent stroke -Artificial hips -Radiculitis (inflammation of nerve root in spine) -Severe muscle spasms -Botox injections (within 6 hours)
Arrive on Time! Please be on time or 5 minutes early. Walking in late is a distraction to other students as well as the instructor. Remove all Jewelry! Please be sure to remove ALL jewelry for a hammock class. This is for your safety. If the hammock gets torn, it can be very dangerous. Notify the instructor of any jewelry that cannot be removed so we can safely cover it. Stay on the instructed Level! Please sign up for classes of your capability. There are 3 levels to the hammock classes, be mindful of prerequisites. If the class seems to be too easy for you, please follow the instructor at his or her pace. Do not choose to do exercises that are not performed because other students may see this and try a move they have not been taught, which is DANGEROUS, DISRUPTIVE, and DISRESPECTFUL to the instructor. If you are not certified, you do not have the knowledge to teach safely. No Perfumes or Oils! Please come in CLEAN and scent free. Many people are allergic to scents and perfumes. Odors can linger in the hammocks and also be distracting when finding your Zen. All devices OFF! Please be sure to turn all devices off. The studio is a place of peace, serenity and personal growth not only for you but for others around you.
When you book a class, please keep in mind that you have up to 12 hours prior to the start time of that class to cancel without penalty. If you do not cancel 12 hours prior to class or sooner, you will either lose your pass or be charged a $20 cancellation fee per class, or your account may be in default. Thank you in advance!
