Establish the foundation of your practice or deepen your skills in becoming the yoga teacher you were meant to be. This comprehensive certification program is designed to empower, nurture, and support you on your path.
You will study yoga asana, pranayama, philosophy, principles of anatomy & physiology, and meditation.
This 200HR certification includes both a solid grounding in technical skills and the development of an empathic, intuitive approach to teaching. Receive a beautifully detailed manual.
Students will learn how to effectively lead Hatha vinyasa based mixed levels Yoga classes. Learn how to modify and adapt the yoga practice creating safe and accessible well designed group classes. A grounded approach to the ancient practice of yoga adapted for modern practitioners.
Study the Kripalu lineage, learn about the chakra system, Yamas & Niyamas, Yoga Sutras and more.
Learn how to guide pranayama practices for mental and energetic well being. Practice core pranayama (yogic-breathing) techniques and enable students to experience body-mind integration and purification through yogic breathing.
Apply anatomy & physiology studies to focus on safety, joint movement, range of motion, and a functional understanding of skeletomuscular systems and structures.
Gain a deeper personal relationship to yoga philosophy, with an emphasis on integrating Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
Develop the skills for centering yourself and your students. Create a safe space for fostering inward focus, guiding meditation, and cultivating deep relaxation.
This is a Yoga Alliance approved 200HR Yoga Teacher training program. Once graduated students will receive a certificate.
Duration: January to May 2024
This training is a weekend module format consisting of nine weekends and the availability of one make up weekend. Attend special Yoga workshops included in the training. This training will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in practice with ten classes given and discounted class packages available. Homework will be an integral part in the off weeks to keep you motivated and focused. Graduation consists of teaching a group class and passing an exam.

Classes are Friday 6pm to 8pm, Saturday 11am to 7pm, and Sunday 11am to 7pm (lunch breaks on Sat and Sun)

Minimum Requirements: We do not require any specific certification. You should have a good understanding of the body and be comfortable teaching in front of a class. Flexibility, coordination, core strength are a plus.
Cost: $2600, a $1000 deposit is required to signup.
You may pay in full, or make payments after your initial $1000 deposit. Payments must be completed and paid in full by January 25th in order to attend the training. Refunds will only be available 2 weeks prior to start.

Meet Your Teacher
Olivia Monitel LMT, CCT, ERYT
Olivia Montiel is an experienced Yoga Teacher who is also a Licensed Massage & Cupping Therapist, Breathwork Facilitator and Reiki Practitioner.
She has studied at the Kripalu School of Yoga under the guidance of Larissa Hall Carlson, Michelle Dalbec, Sudhir Jonathan Foust ,Coby Kozslowski, and Shiva Rea. She has studied with Balarama Chandra Das & Dr. John Doulliard at Kripalu’s School of Ayurveda. She received her first certification from Shiva Shanti Yoga School, training with Shivadasi a Jivamukti master teacher, and Ma Ba a Sanskrit scholar. She has led Yoga Retreats in France and the United States.
Come as you are is her approach to Yoga. Her classes are empowering and intentional. She blends her sequences with focused breath work and fluid movements. She adapts her sequencing to suit the needs of the student creating a safe space for practitioners to explore their Yoga practice.
In 2015 at the peak of her rewarding yet hectic photo journalism career working in New York City, Olivia took to Yoga. She decided to embark upon becoming a Yoga teacher after seeking the need for a more mindful, intuitive, slower paced lifestyle.
Yoga gave her an outlet for transforming the day to day stress she experienced.
Olivia quickly realized how much she wanted to share the joy the practice of Yoga gave her. She strives to pay it forward in her teachings.
